Putting our knowledge in practice

On the first part  the year we learned about the differet types of theatre and their practitioners. With Santiago, Florencia, Lara y Julian we chose Theathre in education to represent a play we invented.
  Theatre in education is used to encourage effective learning in schools, it also have lots of benefits like self confidence, imagination, empathy, collaboration, concntration, communication, relations, emotional outlet, skills and physical fitness. In our play we includes:


  • Breaking the fourth wall
  • Participation of the audience
  • Suitable performance for the audience
  • Engaging the young audience


Here is the script of our play:



You should tell someone

This takes place in a school where two teenagers Santiago and flopy are walking through the hallways Julian and lara appeared and started bordering them.
Lara: Oh! look who is here! The nerd and his girlfriend, stop kissing each other and give me your homework!
Santiago:  She is not my girlfriend and I won't give you anything!
(Julian push santi and flopy helps him get up again and lara push her too)
Flopy: What's your problem? Leave us alone!
Julián: No we won't because you deserve all this!
Santiago: But why? What did we do?
Lara: You know
(Julian and lara push them and walk away)
Flopy: Santi we have to tell someone! This can't go on!
Santiago: No we can't! If not... Lara will never like me
Flopy: But obviously she doesn't likes you! She borders you!
Santiago: Maybe she bothers me because she likes me?
Flopy: I don´t think so...let's go to class
Flopy: (to the audience) Do you think she likes him? He is so stupid, she obviously doesn’t like him.
(They pick up their things from the floor and go class)
Julián: This used to be funny but now they defend theirselves
Lara: Yes, I know, it's boring but we can't stop doing it otherwise they feel like they won
Julián: we can hurt them physically now!
Lara:- We can't! Poor boy!
Julian: What about the girl?
Lara7: oh... yes... the girl too
Julián: Let's see what we can do
(They run into santi in the hallways and star bordering him. Flopy saw them and went to look for the teacher. When Flopy and the teacher arrived they see Santi on the floor been kicked by Julian and lara)
Tiny- What's happening here? You two to my office! Now!
(Julian and lara didn't move, they stood right were they where)
Tiny-Flopy help your friend get up, I will have a serious talk with this two.
(Flopy and santi go back to class and the teacher goes to the office with the other two)
At the office:
Tiny: I can't believe it! This is unecceptable at my school! I can't believe this was going on and I didn't notice it! Why are you doing this?
Julián -It's fun
Tiny -do you understand this is serious? This people are suffering because you are "having fun"
Lara: i regret what I have done
Tiny: and why you are still doing it? You really find it funny? This children are not passing through good moments you are ruining their teenage year
Julián: what would be our punishment?
Tiny: (To the audience ) I have not decided it yet but it is going to be the best for them to reflex and understand
Lara: okay
Julián I hate you
Tiny: I think I know what the punishment should be..
Lara:What?
Tiny: first of all i will call your parent and inform them what is going on
Julian: No please! Batty will be so let down and disappointed
Tiny: that’s the price, you are also going to be suspended for a week, apologise to  Santi and Flopi and for the rest of the year you are going to work with them
Lara: But they hate us it is going to be awful for ua
Tiny: They can let their differences aside and i am sure they will treat you as equals, unlike you. I am going to take care of the situation now, you can leave.

Tiny: (To the audience) Do you believe that what I did was enough to solve the problem?

Convirtiendonos en vanguardistas

  Intentamos convertirnos en  escritores vanguardistas creando nuestros propios poemas con estas características. La poesía vanguardista es una técnica donde se sale de la estructura común, con nuevas características donde no hay rima, donde hay nuevas temáticas, donde hay nuevas disposiciones de versos , con neologismos, donde se rechaza la razón, donde hay perspectiva subjetiva, multiplicidad de los sentidos y donde se usan muchas metáforas, personificaciones, entre otras.

Para empezar cada uno hizo su propio caligrama. Un caligrama es una poesía donde los versos están escritos de tal manera donde forme una figura relacionada con el tema del poema, en mi  caso, un gato.




Al caminar por la calle con mi mente en otro lado
Un animal con pelaje oscuro como la noche se cruza en mi camino, 
frena y clava sus linternas verdes en mi figura 
¿Cómo puede ser que un ser tan bello traiga mala suerte?
Que tonta superstición 
Cuando el gato sigue su camino yo sigo el mio,
Para que algún día nos volvamos a cruzar 


Después de crear nuestro caligrama lo fusionamos con uno de nuestro compañero, el de Olivia trataba de una escalera.





Todas las mañanas de todos los días 
Eternas escaleras tengo que subir 
En el último piso esta mi salón 
Y en este colegio no hay ascensor 
Subo, bajo y siempre me canso

El caligrama de los dos poemas unidos quedó así.





Todas las mañanas de todos los días eternas escaleras tengo que  subir 
Pero esta mañana fue diferente
Un animal con pelaje oscuro como la noche se cruza en mi camino,
frena y clava sus linternas verdes en mi figura
¿Cómo un ser tan bello puede traer mala suerte?
Que tonta superstición
Al distraerme tropecé y rodé por las famosas escaleras
Al final el tonto era yo


Para el siguiente poema cada pareja elijió tres mecanismos del vanguardismo 
, en mi caso con Beltrán elegimos: Sin sentidos, nuevas palabras por combinación y multiplicidad de sentidos y este fue el resultado. 

En el banco de la capital  
até mi monocordón al lado del cordón
y saqué capital del banco porque el ordenador ordenó capital 
para el ordenador que tenía un ratón 
que se parecía al ratón del ordenador
Era algo que tenía pendiente,
pendiente como el pendiente del ordenador 
Tenía pendiente que el ratón de ordenador apicurara elpendiente
del ordenador que ordenaba


En el último poema nos pusimos en grupos de 5 o 6 personas y utilizamos la técnica del cadáver exquisito, donde cada una escribe un verso sin mirar el verso que escribió la ora persona anteriormente. Cada una escribió 3 versos, por lo tanto hubo tres rondas y ási quedo nuestro poema:

La luna azul, luna llena
Ilumina como luceros tu camino 
La luna que aulla
Alta en el cielo blanca como la nieve 
La luna baila
Luna lunera, estrellas amarillas
Redonda como una mandarina
Sin ella todo cambia, los mares crecen, todo estaría perdido
La luna que brilla con lunares
Y me di cuenta que hay una luna para cada noche
Mientras la miro tumbado en la arena blanca
La luna es linda como la monalisa
¿De que color es la luna? ¿Sera naranja como una mandarina?
El sol es luz, la luna oscuridad, y con la bella luna lunera,
la vi y la seguí mirando, la observe y la seguí observado,
La luna me habla solo a mi
La luna sale a la noche

Articulando

Para seguir con el tema de los huesos empezamos a fijarnos mas en las articulaciones ya que son las que unen unos huesos con otros y realizamos una presentación para introducir el tema.

Cerrando el libro; Fharenheit 451

 En este trimestre estuvimos trabajando con un libro de ciencia ficción llamado "Fharenheit 41" publicado en 1953 y escrito por Ray Bradbury. Este libro se trata que en un futuro los bomberos ya no apagaban los incendios sino que los provocaban para quemar libros ya que en esa sociedad estaba prohibido pensar. El protagonista se llama Montag, es uno de los bomberos pero no esta muy seguro si su trabajo es lo correcto.

 Nos dividimos el grupos, el mio estaba formado por Mayra, Iván, Lara y Román. Cada grupo tenia asignado un personaje, a nosotros nos toco Mildred, la esposa de Montag, y con ese personaje cear na historia paralela contada desde su punto de vista.

Al principio creamos un póster de el libro pero desde el punto de vista de nuestro personaje.Nosotros pensamos en los intentos de suicidio de Mildred, ella tomaba pastillas para dormir para intentar quitarse la vida pero nunca lo lograba porque siempre le lavaban el estomago y ella hacia como si nada hubiera pasado. Mildred le decía a Montag que ella era feliz, pero eso era una mentira porque si ella de verdad era feliz no hubiera intentado quitarse la vida. Como esto de base pensamos ¿Qué era lo que Mildred le ocultaba a su esposo? ¿Porqué intentaba quitarse la vida? Claramente ahí había algo de lo que Montag no se estaba enterando.

Después de hacer el póster realizamos los núcleos narrativos de la historia y a patir de eso un relato, todo contado por un narrador externo focalizado en Mildred.




A partir de el relato hicimos un video con nuestras voces relatando lo que escribimos previamente mientras las animaciones lo ilustran. Todos colaboramos grabando nuestras voces, yo realice el video y Lara y Mayra me ayudaron con el relato. Hubo algunas complicaciones porque nuestra idea principal era hacer un video dibujando las escenas en una pizarra y que eso vaya mostrándose mientras nuestras voces relataban la historia pero fue muy difícil entonces creamos el video con PowToon. Quedo mucho mejor de lo que pensaba asíque me alegro de no haber podido hacer el draw my life.
Con el video ya terminado usamos aurasma para transformarlo en realidad aumentada.

In order to know more about Nazi Germany we made presentations to explain it, but it was too much to do it in only one presentation so we divide the class in groups with different topics. Toghether with Agutin, Denise, Julian and Azul we made a presentation talking about mass media and propaganda in Nazi Germany.

The Global Economy

In the language class with Andra Schejter we formed gruops of four and had to choose a story or a poem. With Olivia, Florencia Sguera and Florencia Ginocchio we choose a poeam from the book "English International Aproach" called "The global economy". I really liked the poem because it makes you think about the economy and it is explained in an easy way so you can understand it. We did it with an aplication called "Powtoon" used to creat amitated videos.

Nos manchamos las manos con encéfalo

Fuimos al laboratorio para trabajar con un encéfalo de vaca para luego pode entender el sistema nervioso humano. En grupos de  cuatro teníamos que traer un encéfalo, un bisturí o cutre, guantes y una aguja de disección para poder trabajar en el laboratorio. Después de observarlo y anotar las preguntas y apuntes hicimos una presentacion en parejas, yo la realice con Florencia Ginocchio.

FCE-Practce Test 1

For the FCE writing practice we neede o do a letter on return to a friend called David and we had to include in  the first paragraph "No problem", in the second paragraph "Come for longer next time", in the thid paragraph "Yes, please" and in the last one "yes, arrange later".

  There’s no problem with you staying with us, my family and I enjoyed your visit a lot so you can come back whenever you want. My family really liked you and hopes to see you soon.
  I really liked you staying with me, make sure you come for a longer period of time next time. I’ve shown you a lot of places however I would like you to see some more.
  Yes please, I would love to see those photos and I’m sure m family would too. They really like you and are asking e all the time when you are coming back.
  Sure! I would love to spend more time with you and your family. We will arrange later.

The young can learn a lot about life from older people. 

Essay


 Some people think young could learn a lot from the older; however, it is not always true, and that is what we are going to discuss about in thus essay.
 On the one hand we can say that it is true, young people can learn a lot from the elderly. This is because the older people have more experience, they had live a lot more than children or teenagers; therefore, children and teenagers do not know the same things about life that elder people know. If older people are willing to teach and young people are ready to listen it can be useful. 
  Alternatively and in my opiniion young people can learn from their own experiences . "Elderly" does not necessarily mean they are are wiser than everyone younger than them. Besides many older people learn from kids and teenagers. 
 As a result, young people can learn from older, older can learn from young and older and young both can learn on their own.

First Certificate Writing Practice

In order to practis for the First Certificate Exam in the writing part with our teacher Andrea Shejter we were told to write a story that must begin with "When he found his seat on the plane, Sam recognized the person who was sitting in the seat next to his."  But before that we made a Pre Writing Chart all together.


With this information we wrote our stories wich also have to include 

+ Simple past, Past continuos(4 examples) blue 
+ Past perfect (2 examples) red 
+ Direct speech (3 examples) purple 
+ Connectora (6 examples) orange
+ Good descriptive adjectives (7 examples) green 


When he found his seat on the plane, Sam recognized the person who was sitting in the seat next to his. Mark was drinking  coffee waiting for the plane to take off. Sam sat next to his old friend , whom he hadn't seen since the primary school.
 "Exuse me," he said "are you Mark Williams?"
 Suddenly, the man turned his head to look at him
 "Who are you? Are you working for the government?"
"No, what are you talking about? I am Sam" he said, confused "your old mate"
"Oh, I 'm sorry, Sam. I'm scared as I got myself into trouble, therefore, I'm trying to escape"
Sam was surprised about what he heard next. Mark told him he was caught vandalizing a wall, consequently he was sent to prison. However, he cuestioned why he was there for that dumb reason . 
"Well, actually..." he made a pause "I killed my wife" 
Sam was horrified so Mark mooved uncomfortably.
"The chicken was too salty." Mark admitted, before the loud announcement said:
"Please, put your seatbelts on, the plane is about to take off."


¿Geometría desde mi dispositivo?

En esta primer parte del año en la materia de matemática estuvimos viendo diferentes cosas, como por ejemplo la diferencia entre circulo y circunferencia;

CIRCULO: Una figura geométrica delimitada por una circunferencia.

CIRCUNFERENCIA: Una linea curva cuyos puntos equidistan de otro punto llamado centro.

También nos enseñaron a explicar los resultados de los problemas matemáticos, aprendimos lo que era una elipse, como hacer una circunferencia utilizando el radio y el centro, etc. Luego de parender esto nos estuvimos familiarizando con GeoGebra desde donde resolvimos las actividades para practicar lo que acabo de enumerar.
